“Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1Cor 1:20
"The Word of God contains the greatest wisdom on earth. Living by God’s Word sets believers apart from the world’s philosophies, providing spiritual, moral, and relational wisdom that surpasses human intelligence. Godly wisdom enhances insight and discernment, offering comprehensive knowledge for life. Knowing the truth is the cornerstone of wisdom, and this truth sets us free. It liberates us from being bound by self-centered and misguided thought patterns. Our minds are renewed through God’s Word, emancipating us from the deceptions and manipulations that govern the world. Truth, wisdom, and discernment guide our hearts, setting us apart from the world. The instruction of God’s Spirit provides ongoing wisdom and discernment, offering clarity for life’s challenges.
While there are undoubtedly many intelligent people in the world, those without Christ are susceptible to the corruption of their minds. Unbelievers struggle to discern the truth due to a mental impairment. 2 Corinthians 4:4 states, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Consequently, individuals are blinded to the spiritual dimension of reality and become enslaved to their moral and spiritual deficiencies, leading to deception and death. Their discernment is shortsighted, often prioritizing their desires over what is truly beneficial for their lives.
There is no greater fool than the one who says there is no God because there is no greater contradiction to intelligence than to say God does not exist. The Psalmist declares, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'" (Psalm 14:1) Therefore, do not be intimidated by worldly intelligence, as its pretensions become foolishness in the light of truth. Every day, we see intelligent men and women consumed by their lusts and depraved in their minds, only to be destroyed by their foolish choices.
God imparts and instructs wisdom to all who ask for it, without finding fault. (James 1:5) The continual pursuit of wisdom is encouraged by the Lord, and that’s why His heart breaks in Hosea 4:6 when he laments, "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." This should not be! If there is a lack of knowledge, it is because we do not ask for it.
The hour has come, and the Spirit demands that the Church gets wisdom! Make it your pursuit to study the Word of God. You can give your children no greater education than the Word of God. We should be leading them by our examp
le of Godly wisdom. Our children are captivated daily by the foolishness of this world because they do not see wisdom demonstrated in our homes. It is time to get to work. The world and our children need our leadership. "Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." (Proverbs 4:7)
